Sandy Benson founded CAV Integrated Home (formerly Custom Audio Video) in 1996 with a passion for blending technology with design, and her commitment to excellence has fueled the company’s success ever since. As a woman in a traditionally male-dominated industry, Sandy’s resilience, vision, and determination have shaped the company’s growth into the leading home automation provider it is today.
In addition to her role as CEO, Sandy has been a tireless advocate for the Lowcountry community. She serves on numerous boards, including Volunteers in Medicine, the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, and the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry. Sandy also founded The CAV Integrated Home/Sandra Benson Fund to support children’s education and community needs across four counties in the Lowcountry.
When she’s not running CAV, Sandy enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time outdoors. A huge foodie, she hosts dinner parties with well-paired wines from her growing collection. A true lover of both technology and nature, Sandy often marvels at the beauty of the world around her—whether it’s the gorgeous landscapes of Europe or the breathtaking scenery of the United States.
As Sandy always says, "Attitude is everything," and she believes in surrounding herself with a team that shares her positive, confident, and caring approach to life and business.
